Giorgio

GIORGIO FORNASIER was born in Belluno (Italy) on 29 September 1947 and he is the third of four brothers. He presently lives in Limana (Belluno - Italy), happily married, father of two sons, grandpa of two grandchildren (Alessio and Simone), who are sons of his elder son Redi and special grandpa of two children from Brazil (Ana Alice e João Pedro) that his son Daniele adopted and is sponsoring for their studies while living in an Institute in Criciuma. His son Daniele is affected by a rare genetic disorder called Prader Willi Syndrome.

In 1968 Giorgio received his diploma as mechanical expert and studied at the University of Foreign Languages in Feltre (English and German). His knowledge of foreign languages took him to work abroad since 1969, starting his professional international experience as mechanical engineer first and then as Sales Manager of very influential Italian companies. From June 1983 he decided to work as independent Marketing Expert assisting various companies in different fields to export their products. He speaks English and Spanish fluently and can manage also with other languages he learned travelling abroad for his work as sales manager, professional singer and also international voluntary service.

On 2 June 1990, the President of the Italian Republic conferred him the honour as “Knight of the Italian Republic” for his important artistic and cultural activity for the Italian communities abroad.

On 4 November 2005 the President of the Republic of Paraguay conferred Giorgio Fornasier la Condecoración al merito “Don Josè Falcon”, which is the highest honour given to any foreign person in that country for his help towards families of children affected by rare diseases and his cultural and musical activity as volunteer, teaching music in the poor villages of the interior in Paraguay.
