From 01.02.1969 to 14.10.1971 Giorgio Fornasier worked as mechanical engineer, following projects in Italy, Bulgaria, the Netherlands and Taiwan at Officine Meccaniche Pavan in Galliera Veneta (Padova). This company produces machinery and technology for pasta production all over the world. On September 1969 Giorgio suffered a serious accident while working on a press that cut off four fingers of his right hand. In spite of that, he continued the same work to help overcome the severe shock.

From 13.11.1971 to 27.06.1975 Giorgio worked as English teacher at E.N.A.I.P. professional schools in his province teaching business secretaries and hotel managers. In this period he also held various evening courses of English for professionals and university students.

From 01.07.1975 to 1.05.1983 Giorgio worked as sales manager at Ceramica Dolomite SpA, a leading manufacturer of sanitary wares based in Trichiana (Belluno - Italy). For this company he travelled around the world increasing significantly the export sales especially to Middle Eastern countries.

From June 1983 until June 1997 Giorgio worked as independent consultant and international marketing expert, following sales office organisation, promotion and market research for various companies working mainly with the following products: optical frames and sunglasses, furniture, chandeliers, children’s shoes, duty free articles, food, clothing, sanitary wares, special welding machines and tourism. For many years he had the cooperation of colleagues and associated offices abroad

The foreign markets he knows and often visited are: United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain, Canary Islands, France, Belgium, Luxemburg, the Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Austria, Switzerland, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Estonia, Greece, Malta, Cyprus, Turkey, Morocco, Libya, Egypt, Nigeria, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Oman, U.A.E., Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iran, India, Pakistan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Canada, U.S.A., Costa Rica, Panama, El Salvador, Netherlands Antilles, Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Colombia, Venezuela, Australia and New Zealand.

From 1992 until 1997 he worked as business consultant of the Artisans’ Organisation of Belluno Province organising business missions abroad and participating in major international exhibitions to promote the products of each manufacturing company belonging to the group. In this capacity he was able to offer small firms the opportunity of having a professional sales manager available when needed. He also represented foreign companies who needed representation in Italy, in the capacity of purchasing, shipments and public relations.

From March 1st 2001 until the end of June 2003 Giorgio worked as sales manager of Oxyweld snc from Sacile (PN), a leading company manufacturing high technology equipment using new energy sources.

After this last business experience he decided to retire as sales manager, business consultant and international marketing expert to dedicate all his time to his family and his extended international family of the International Prader-Willi Syndrome Organisation, which has since been his primary work
