THE MAGIC OF THE MUSIC IN THE JESUITIC REDUCTIONS IN SOUTH AMERICA (1609 – 1767). Using a powerpoint presentation, and musical pieces performed by the Domenico Zipoli Ensemble, Giorgio introduces his audience to the beauty and importance of these historical Paraguayan works. He describes the birth of the Jesuitic Reductions and how they were used to educate the Guarany people. This workshop will run for 1 hour 20 minutes.

THE PROJECT “SONIDOS DE LA TIERRA” This workshop is about the social and cultural recovery of children living in poor villages in the interior of Paraguay through the teaching and performing of music. We start by relating the unique experience of the Jesuitic Reductions 350 years ago, and come to today’s situation, using a power point presentation and music pieces from DVDs. The duration of this workshop is approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.

SINGING TO REMEMBER. This is a recital of famous old Italian songs from 1930 until 1965, especially dedicated to old people so they can sing together and remember. Giorgio performs the concert alone with his guitar.

SING AND FORGET ABOUT. This is a tour of the most famous Italian songs starting with romances of the late 1800, Neapolitan songs and ending with the beautiful songs of the 60s. This is a recital that can be successfully sung abroad as the audience is provided with a booklet of translations in local languages of all lyrics while, at the same time, the original lyrics in Italian are projected on a screen to allow people to sing together with Giorgio and understand the meaning of the texts at the same time. Currently, this is available in English, Portuguese and Rumanian. Giorgio performs the concert alone with his guitar and a piano, if available.

SING AND FORGET ABOUT (Living well to die serene). This recital of carefully selected Italian songs is designed for Italian people with special songs sensitively chosen so the audience can reflect on “living well to die serene”.. LOVING EACH OTHERS DOES NOT COST ANYTHING. This is a recital of Giorgio Fornasier’s own songs he composed during the first 60 years of his life. Many of them are not recorded, edited or published, being private songs describing a private family life. Giorgio performs the concert alone with his guitar and a piano, if available.
